Wordle-Unlimited.net has no user accounts or sign-up forms. This page explains what data is processed when you visit the site.

Data stored in your browser

Our games use your browser’s local storage (localStorage) to save your current game, statistics, streaks and settings (hard mode, high contrast, theme). This data stays on your device and is not sent to our server. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting server records technical data about each visit: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system. This data is used to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse, and it is kept for a limited time.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Other third-party services

• Google Fonts: the site’s font is loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address when you download it.
• ShareThis: the social sharing buttons are provided by ShareThis, which may use cookies or similar technologies. See its privacy policy at sharethis.com.
• YouTube: the home page shows a YouTube video. It loads when you scroll down to it, and YouTube may then set its own cookies.
• Embedded games: some pages show games from other websites in a frame (iframe). These websites may use their own cookies and apply their own policies.
• Links: when you open an external link, such as a word definition on Merriam-Webster.com, that website’s policy applies.

Your rights

You can ask for information about the data we process, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, by writing to info (at) wordle-unlimited.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

Children

Our own games are suitable for all ages. Some embedded games are not (for example, Sweardle), and we say so on their pages. The site is not directed at children under 13.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
