Queens Game

Queens is a logic puzzle on a grid of colored regions. Place one crown in every row, every column and every color region, and make sure that no two crowns touch. The puzzle became popular in 2024 as a daily game on LinkedIn. Here you can play a new daily puzzle and as many unlimited puzzles as you like, from an easy 6×6 grid to an expert 11×11. This free version is not affiliated with LinkedIn.

✅ How to play Queens

1. Every row, every column and every color region needs exactly one crown.
2. Two crowns can never touch, not even diagonally.
3. Tap a square once to mark it with ✕ (no crown can go here), twice to place a crown, and a third time to clear it. Drag across squares to mark many ✕ at once.
4. The puzzle is solved when all crowns are placed without breaking a rule. Every puzzle has exactly one solution.

✅ Tips for solving

• Start with the smallest regions: a region of one or two squares shows you where its crown must go.
• When you place a crown, mark ✕ on its row, its column, its region and all eight squares around it. The “Auto ✕” option does this for you.
• If a region lies entirely in one row or column, no other region can have its crown in that row or column.
• Look for two regions that fit inside the same two rows: together they use both rows, so all the other squares in those rows get ✕. The same works for columns.

✅ Daily and Unlimited

The daily puzzle is 8×8 and the same for everyone; a new one appears at midnight. In Unlimited mode you choose the size: 6×6 and 7×7 are easy, 8×8 and 9×9 medium, 10×10 hard and 11×11 expert. Your progress, best times and daily streak are saved in your browser, and the Share button posts your time without giving the solution away. Stuck? The Hint button fixes a wrong crown or places a correct one.
