Canuckle

Canuckle is Wordle with a Canadian twist. Every answer is a five-letter word linked to Canada: maple syrup and moose, hockey and curling, poutine, lakes, national parks and a bit of Canadian slang. After each game you learn why the word is Canadian. Play the daily puzzle or as many games as you like in Unlimited mode.

✅ How to play Canuckle

1. Type any five-letter English word and press Enter. You have six tries.
2. A red tile means the letter is in the right place. Yellow means the letter is in the word, but in another spot. Gray means the letter is not in the word.
3. Use the clues to find the Canadian word. When you finish, read the fun fact about the answer.

✅ Daily and Unlimited

In Daily mode everyone gets the same word, and a new one appears at midnight. In Unlimited mode a new word is ready as soon as you finish. Your statistics and streaks are saved in your browser, and the Share button posts your red and yellow squares without giving the word away. Color blind? Turn on high contrast in the settings.

The first Canuckle was made in 2022 by brothers Mark and Jeff Rogers from Ottawa. This page is our own version, with its own list of Canadian words and facts, and an Unlimited mode.
