Pips Unlimited
Pips Unlimited is a logic puzzle with dominoes. The board is split into colored regions, and every region has a rule: a number that its pips must add up to, “less than” or “more than” a number, all the same, or all different. Place every domino from the tray on the board so that all the rules are met at once. Play three new daily puzzles and as many unlimited puzzles as you like, free and without sign-up.
✅ How to play Pips
- Every domino has two halves with 0 to 6 pips. A domino covers two squares next to each other, side by side or one above the other.
- Use every domino in the tray and cover every square of the board.
- A colored region must follow the rule on its label. Squares without color have no rule, so any number can go there.
- Drag a domino onto the board, or tap it and then tap a square. Tap a selected domino again to turn it. Drag it off the board, or press “Back to tray”, to take it back.
- The puzzle is solved when the last domino is down and every rule is met.
✅ The rules on the labels
| Label | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 7 | The pips in the region add up to exactly 7 | 3 + 4, or 1 + 6 |
| <4 | The total is less than 4 | 0 + 2 |
| >9 | The total is more than 9 | 5 + 6 |
| = | Every half in the region shows the same number | 2, 2, 2 |
| ≠ | Every half in the region shows a different number | 1, 4, 6 |
A label turns pale when its region is full and correct, and red as soon as its rule can no longer be met, so you see a mistake right away.
✅ Tips for solving
- Start where there is only one choice: a single square that needs a 0 or a 6, or two squares that must add up to 12, which only 6 + 6 can do.
- Count the numbers in the tray. Each domino comes only once, so if just one domino has a 5, a region that needs a 5 tells you where that domino goes.
- A square with only one free neighbor must share a domino with it. Look for these squares at the edges and in narrow parts of the board.
- Big “=” regions need many halves with the same number: check how many you have before you fill them.
- Leave the squares without a rule for last. They are where the leftover dominoes fit.
✅ Daily and Unlimited
Every day at midnight there are three new daily puzzles, Easy, Medium and Hard, the same for everyone. Easy boards have 5 or 6 dominoes, Medium boards 8 or 9, and Hard boards 11 to 13 with fewer exact numbers and more “less than” and “more than” rules. In Unlimited you can play as many new puzzles of any level as you like. Each puzzle comes from our own generator, and a solver checks that it has only one answer: every square can hold just one number.
Your board is saved in your browser, so you can close the page and finish later. Hint puts one domino where it belongs, Undo takes back your last move, and the game keeps your best time and your daily streak for each level. After a win, Share copies your time without giving the solution away.
